Stele is a tall table lamp built on a sculptural base of natural green alabaster — an asymmetric, stepped form with a rounded crown, cut from translucent sage-toned stone that catches the light and reveals its smoky veining. A slim gold-finish metal stem rises to a generous white linen drum shade, which softens the bulb into a warm, even pool of light. Every base is cut from real stone, so its veining and color are unique to the piece.

Tall at 17.7″ Ø × 33.9″ tall (45 × 86 cm) — a statement scale for a console, sideboard, entry table, or behind a sofa, rather than a low nightstand. E26/E27 socket on a plug-in cord; bulb sold separately. The solid stone base gives it real weight and a low center of gravity.

Green Alabaster Base

A sculptural, stepped form cut from translucent green alabaster — veining and tone unique to every piece.

Linen Drum Shade

A generous drum sewn from natural linen diffuses the bulb into an even, warm pool of light.

E26/E27 + Plug & Play

Standard medium-base socket on a plug-in cord with an inline switch. No electrician required. Bulb sold separately.

Each alabaster base is one-of-a-kind. Alabaster is a soft, translucent natural stone — veining direction, green tone, and pattern vary between every block we cut. The photo shows a representative example, not the exact base you'll receive, so your stone's character will be its own.

1 × E26/E27 Bulb
We recommend a 40–60W equivalent LED in 2700–3000K warm white. The warm tone reads naturally through the linen shade and brings out the green depth of the alabaster. For dimming, choose a Triac-dimmable LED bulb and pair it with a standard Triac wall dimmer.

Frequently asked

Why does my alabaster look different from the photo?
Alabaster is natural stone; every block has its own veining, green tone, and pattern. No two bases are alike, so the photo is a representative example rather than the exact lamp you'll receive.
How tall is it, and where does it suit?
It stands 33.9″ (86 cm) tall with a 17.7″ (45 cm) shade — a statement scale for a console, sideboard, entry table, or behind a sofa. It is taller than a typical nightstand lamp, so check your surface height.
What bulb should I buy?
A standard E26/E27 medium-base bulb — we recommend a 40–60W equivalent LED in 2700–3000K warm white, which reads naturally through the linen and warms the green stone. Bulbs are sold separately.
Is it plug-in, and is it dimmable?
It is plug-in, with an inline switch on the cord — no electrician needed. For dimming, fit a Triac-dimmable LED bulb and pair it with a compatible Triac wall dimmer.
How do I clean the alabaster?
Alabaster is soft and porous. Dust gently with a clean, dry, soft cloth only. Avoid water, detergents, and chemical sprays, which can seep into the stone and cause permanent staining or etching.

CASAI Lighting

"Alabaster does not merely hold light — it breathes with it, casting a warmth that cannot be manufactured, only discovered."
Formed through millions of years of slow crystallisation, alabaster is among the world's most ancient decorative stones. When illuminated, it yields a quiet, golden luminosity — gentle, organic, irreducibly human. Our collection exists to honour that rarity, designing forms that allow the stone to speak without interruption.

Natural Character
No two stones
are ever alike.
Alabaster carries within it a geological autobiography — millions of years compressed into veining, crystalline structures, and tonal shifts that no craftsman could plan or replicate

Natural Alabaster — Natural and Unique Textures

As alabaster is a natural stone, every piece possesses its own unique texture and subtle variations in color. Consequently, the actual product may differ from the images displayed. This is an inherent characteristic of natural stone and does not constitute a quality defect.
