The Round Rivage Alabaster Ceiling Lamp illuminates an otherwise plain ceiling, transforming it into a disc of natural stone that radiates a soft glow. Carved from a single round of genuine natural alabaster, it sits close to the ceiling like a full moon at rest — quiet, low-profile, and quietly luxurious. Where a flat panel light disappears, Rivage glows: light rises through the stone and comes back as a warm, honey-hued wash that reveals the alabaster's cloud-like veining.

      Natural Alabaster

      Naturally Unique Veining

No two pieces of stone are ever the same

Alabaster is a natural stone, so every piece carries its own veining and subtle variation in color. The fixture you receive may therefore differ slightly from the images shown.

An inherent characteristic of real stone — not a quality defect.

      Sizing Tip

A simple rule for flush mounts: add the room's length and width in feet — that total, in inches, is roughly the ideal fixture diameter. A 6 × 8 ft bathroom (≈14″) suits the large size; a 5 × 7 ft entry (≈12″) sits between medium and large. For a long hallway, run two or three in a line rather than one oversized fixture. All three heights are the same (4.7″), so you're really choosing how wide the glow spreads.

      The design

A Low Moon, Resting on the Ceiling

Where a flat light disappears, this one glows.

The Rivage Round Alabaster Flush Mount began with the spaces most lighting forgets: the low ceilings — hallways, bedrooms, entries, baths — where a chandelier won't fit and a builder-grade disc feels like an afterthought. The question was simple: could a ceiling light be sculptural, even pressed flat against the ceiling?

The answer was a single round of natural stone. Carved from genuine alabaster and finished barely 4.7 inches deep, Rivage sits close overhead like a low, resting moon — quiet in daylight, luminous at night. Light doesn't blast down from it; it rises through the stone and returns as a warm, honeyed wash that reveals the alabaster's cloud-like veining and softens everything beneath it. No glare, no visible bulb — just calm light from above.

      Why this ceiling light

Sculptural Stone, Pressed Flat to the Ceiling

A round of natural alabaster that glows where a flat panel light would simply disappear.

      01

      Made for Low Ceilings

At just 4.7″ deep, the flush profile hugs the ceiling where a pendant or chandelier won't fit — hallways, bedrooms, entries, closets, and baths with limited height. It brings a sculptural focal point to the one plane most lighting ignores.

      02

      Real Alabaster, a Warm Glow

The shade is carved from genuine natural alabaster — light rises through the stone and comes back softened, so there's no harsh downbeam and no visible bulb, just a warm 3000K wash that reveals the cloud-like veining. No two shades share the same grain, so yours is one of a kind.

      03

      Three Sizes, Three Finishes

Choose 6″, 10″, or 14″ to suit anything from a closet to a living room, in gold, black, or silver to match your palette. The same clean round scales across the whole home, so a hallway and a bedroom can share one quiet design.

      04

      Integrated LED, Nothing to Replace

A warm 3000K LED is built in, so there's no bulb to buy, fit, or ever change — just hardwire it and switch on. Natural stone won't yellow under the light, and the finish stays true for years: a clean, low-maintenance light that simply works.

      Materials

      Why Natural Alabaster

What a real stone shade gives you that glass, resin, and acrylic can't.

Natural Alabaster Glass / Resin / Acrylic
The light A soft amber glow — light spreads inside the stone disc, so there's no harsh bright spot A bright point of light; you often see the source, and acrylic can glare
Switched off A pale stone medallion that reads as sculpture overhead, even unlit Looks empty and shows dust; acrylic looks like plastic
Uniqueness Veining decided by nature — no two shades alike Machine-molded — every unit is identical
Over time Real stone keeps its color for decades — it won't yellow Acrylic yellows and scratches; glass chips
The feel Cool, smooth stone with real weight and depth Lightweight and hollow-feeling
What it says A natural material with real character — quiet and grounded A mass-produced look-alike chosen to cut cost
      Questions, Answered

      Common Questions

      Is the shade real alabaster?
Yes. Every shade is carved from genuine natural alabaster — never resin, glass, or acrylic. Because it's real stone, each shade has its own veining and slight color variation, which is the mark of authenticity, not a defect.
Does it come with a bulb? Do I need to replace it?
The light uses an integrated LED at a warm 3000K, so there's no bulb to buy, fit, or ever replace — just hardwire it and switch on. It's controlled by a standard push-button switch.
      Can it be dimmed?
The default configuration is non-dimmable. Please contact us if you require dimming functionality.
Which size and finish should I choose?
It comes in 6″, 10″, and 14″ diameters and in gold, black, or silver. The 6″ suits a closet, entry, or bedside; the 10″ is the most versatile for hallways and bedrooms; the 14″ anchors a larger room. All three are just 4.7″ deep.
Will it be too bright or glary?
No. Light spreads inside the stone rather than shining straight down, so you get a soft amber glow with no visible hotspot — comfortable to sit under and easy to look at directly.
Will the stone yellow or fade?
Natural alabaster keeps its color for decades and won't yellow under the light or give off odors — unlike acrylic, which yellows and scratches with age.
      Is it hard to install?
It's a hardwired flush mount that fixes to a standard US ceiling junction box, sitting close to the ceiling. Natural stone has real weight, so we recommend two people or an electrician for the larger sizes. Always switch off the power at the breaker first.
      How do I clean it?
Wipe the stone gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water, harsh chemicals, and abrasive pads — alabaster is a porous natural stone.

"Alabaster does not merely hold light — it breathes with it, casting a warmth that cannot be manufactured, only discovered."
Formed through millions of years of slow crystallisation, alabaster is among the world's most ancient decorative stones. When illuminated, it yields a quiet, golden luminosity — gentle, organic, irreducibly human. Our collection exists to honour that rarity, designing forms that allow the stone to speak without interruption.

      Natural Character

      are ever alike.
Alabaster carries within it a geological autobiography — millions of years compressed into veining, crystalline structures, and tonal shifts that no craftsman could plan or replicate
