It takes E14 bulbs — six in the Standard size and eight in the Large size. A warm-white (around 3000K) bulb suits the alabaster best. With standard E14 bulbs it works on a common On/Off wall switch; for dimming, fit dimmable E14 LED bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer.
