Solid Spanish alabaster, hand-carved into a layered ribbed form — the shade stacked in flat horizontal tiers, the column twisted in a helical coil. When the three G9 LEDs illuminate, the alabaster reveals its inner geology: the translucent white stone glows from within, casting a warm halo of diffused light through every layer and vein. A brass fitting at the crown anchors the shade in place and adds a warm metallic contrast to the stone white. No two lamps share the same veining — each is a unique geological object.

Layered Alabaster Shade

Hand-carved horizontal tiers — each groove catches and scatters the warm LED glow from within.

Helical Ribbed Column

Base carved in a spiraling coil — the lit alabaster column glows from its interior upward.

Spanish Alabaster

Translucent, white-veined natural stone — glows warmly when lit, each piece unique.

3 × G9 LED

Three G9 bi-pin sockets inside the shade — bright, even illumination through the stone.

Brass Crown Fitting

Aged brass hardware at the top center — warm metallic accent against the stone white.

Plug-In

Standard wall outlet connection — no hardwiring or electrician required.

Spanish Alabaster — formed by nature, unique to each piece

The shade and base are carved from solid Spanish alabaster — a sedimentary gypsum stone formed through geological processes over millions of years. The translucency, white tone, and vein pattern of each piece differ from every other. Your lamp will share the same carved form as the photograph but carry its own singular geological pattern.

Natural pores, tonal variation & surface texture — inherent to alabaster

Alabaster naturally contains fine fissures, subtle tonal gradients, and surface texture variation formed during its geological development. These are authentic characteristics of genuine stone, not manufacturing defects. The stone's character becomes most visible — and most beautiful — when the lamp is illuminated.

G9 bulbs not included — 3 × G9 bi-pin sockets

This lamp uses three G9 bi-pin sockets inside the shade. G9 LED bulbs are available from most lighting retailers. Warm white (2700–3000K) is recommended to complement the alabaster's warm natural tone. Bulbs are not included.

The lamp has three G9 bi-pin sockets mounted inside the alabaster shade. G9 LED capsule bulbs are widely available from lighting and hardware retailers. A warm white color temperature (2700–3000K) complements the alabaster's natural cream-white tone and enhances the warm glow through the stone. Bulbs are not included.

  • Plug-in — no electrician required. Connect to a standard wall outlet.
  • Place on a flat, stable surface. The alabaster base is heavy solid stone — ensure the surface can support the weight.
  • Install three G9 LED bulbs (not included) before first use. Warm white 2700–3000K is recommended.
  • Do not exceed the recommended wattage for G9 bulbs. LED G9 bulbs are strongly preferred over halogen for heat management and longevity.
  • Clean the stone with a soft dry cloth only. Do not use water, solvents, or abrasive cleaners on the alabaster.
  • For indoor dry locations only. Not suitable for bathrooms or damp environments.

What makes the lamp glow — is it the stone itself or a separate shade?

Both the shade and the column are solid alabaster — the same material throughout. When the G9 LEDs inside the shade are lit, the light passes through the translucent stone, illuminating the veins and layers from within. The column also glows because the light travels through the alabaster of the base. There is no separate diffuser — the stone itself is the diffuser.

Will my lamp look exactly like the photo?

The carved form — layered shade tiers, helical column, brass crown — will match the photo closely. The alabaster's veining, translucency, and tonal character will differ, because each piece of stone is unique. The photograph shows a representative example; your lamp will carry its own geological signature.

What G9 bulbs should I use?

G9 LED capsule bulbs, warm white 2700–3000K. The warm tone enhances the alabaster's natural cream-white color and creates the characteristic golden glow through the stone. Avoid halogen G9 bulbs — they run much hotter and are less efficient. G9 LEDs are widely available from lighting retailers and online.

Is the alabaster fragile?

Alabaster is a relatively soft stone compared to granite or marble — it is more sensitive to impact and scratching. Handle with care during installation and cleaning. Place on a stable, flat surface and avoid moving it frequently. Clean only with a soft dry cloth; do not use water, vinegar, or chemical cleaners, which can etch or stain the stone.

CASAI Lighting

"Alabaster does not merely hold light — it breathes with it, casting a warmth that cannot be manufactured, only discovered."
Formed through millions of years of slow crystallisation, alabaster is among the world's most ancient decorative stones. When illuminated, it yields a quiet, golden luminosity — gentle, organic, irreducibly human. Our collection exists to honour that rarity, designing forms that allow the stone to speak without interruption.

Natural Character
No two stones
are ever alike.
Alabaster carries within it a geological autobiography — millions of years compressed into veining, crystalline structures, and tonal shifts that no craftsman could plan or replicate
